BOBRTETBořivoj Brdička (nickname Bobr is the abbreviation of his name and means beaver) has been working in the field of educational technology since 1984 when he assisted with the supply of the first personal computers to Czech primary and secondary schools. From that time he has trained teachers, designed educational programs, done the research, and mostly unsuccessfully tried to persuade the Czech public, government, and the management of his faculty about the importance of this work.
Bořivoj Brdička is an ordinary teacher at the Charles University Prague, Faculty of Education. He serves also  as lecturer, author and editor of the well known Czech portal for teachers – Teacher’s Helper. He has worked as Czech coordinator of European Schools Project Association since 1994, as  partner in several Europen projects as organizer and tutor at the international courses, as national coordinator of international IEA research SITES, etc. He was a member of the EUN eLearning Awards Jury and the head of Czech team evaluating eTwinning and Comenius projects. He is a big supporter of openness and Open Educational Resources. Beginning 2011 he is experimenting with the cMOOC type of courses in his work.
